Inter Miami recently announced the signing of midfielder Jean Mota, strengthening the team’s roster ahead of 2022. The Brazilian shared his excitement ahead of the move, citing the factors that led him to Inter Miami.
“It’s a pleasure to be a part of Inter Miami, a great club with a fantastic fan base and great facilities. I’m excited to give my best on the pitch and build great memories together for the Club. I’m proud to wear this jersey and look forward to leaving everything on the field to defend it. Lastly, I want to thank the fans for their reception and I’m thrilled to aim to accomplish our objectives together,” said Mota.
“Since the start of negotiations it was something that made myself and my family very happy. It’s a new opportunity. I’m excited to arrive.”
Mota is already setting lofty ambitions for his time in South Florida and is looking forward to achieving great things with Inter Miami.
“My objectives are big. Inter Miami is a big club, and it’s a team that deserves to be in the playoffs, going for the trophy,” he said.
The midfielder also broke down what kind of player he believes himself to be, emphasizing his commitment and approach as a professional, as well as the kind of person he is off the field.
“On the field, I’m a player that gives it all. I think about the whole team and not just myself. I’m a professional, always looking for the best for the club. A lot of people don’t know me yet, but I’ll be working to showcase everything I have built in my career so far. I’ve had great moments so far and I’m looking forward to creating more great ones in an Inter Miami jersey. Off the field, I’m a family guy. I’m married, with two kids and I enjoy spending my time with them.”
Mota explained some of the factors that attracted him to Inter Miami after spending the entirety of his career to this point in his native Brazil.
“I had this wish to make the move here. The growth of the league is what attracted me the most. So for us, we see MLS as a catalyst in the growth of my career. We had offers from different clubs around the world, but I believe my career can take off even higher being over here.”
Lastly, Mota shared a message for Inter Miami fans excited by his arrival.
“First, I wanted to express how thankful I am to be wearing this jersey. I hope I can deliver my best on the field and introduce you all to the Jean Mota that gives everything out there as soon as possible. I’m excited and looking forward to it.”
